Decoding Art: what is the artist telling us?

Art is a conversation between the artist and the viewer. When looking at works of art, sometimes we don't understand what the artist is trying to say. This is especially true when the work of art is not from our time period or culture. We will look at several works and learn how to decode them.

Emanda is a retired art historian with a specialty in Medieval Art. She holds a BA and MA from Southern Methodist University. She is a fiber artist and member of the international organization Studio Art Quilters Association and exhibited locally and internationally.
