Cyanotype Basics Workshop

Discover the joys of “the blue print!” The Prussian Blue print to be exact. Students will learn best practices for creating Cyanotype prints with just some simple chemistry, watercolor paper, and everyday objects. They will explore the history of this early photographic process, and experiment with a variety of objects and both digital and analog negatives. They will leave with a completed Cyanotype print and a variety of experiments to inspire them to continue their alternative process journey.All materials provided. If there is something specific students would like to use to make a print with be sure to bring that along.

Lora O’Shaughnessy is a Denton based photographer, zine maker, and doll enthusiast. She has a deep love for analog and historical photographic processes, storytelling, and research rabbit holes.
